    General

Any unframed artwork, A3 or smaller, is sent flat in a rigid cardboard mailer.

Over A3 I post in a rigid mailing tube. To ensure no damage is done, be cautious when unrolling your piece, let gravity do the work. Don't roll it back on itself.

I send each thing so they arrive safely and undamaged - so if you have ordered a number of items they may arrive separately.

Sure do, I offer a flat rate of $20 for shipping to anywhere in the world.

Yes! Afterpay offers simple and affordable instalment plans for online shoppers. The payment platform allows you to purchase in four equal instalments, due every 2 weeks. For example, if you purchase an item for $200, you pay 4 instalments of $50. There is no additional cost to use Afterpay so long as you pay on time. I am happy to accept exchanges (within a reasonable timeframe) however any additional postage costs are at the buyer's own expense. The artwork must be in original condition.

Unfortunately I do not accept returns due to a change of mind.

    Artworks & Prints

A Giclée or Archival print is a fine art print that has been created with fade-resistant digital pigment inks. I print my work on textured 310gsm Hahnemuhle German Etching archival quality paper.

Be cautious of displaying your work in direct sunlight, it will reduce the lifetime of the piece.

You can book an appointment to view the artwork in my studio in Torquay, Victoria. Contact me to make a time.

I've listed a few framing solutions for prints here.

I have a fantastic framer who frames my original works and some prints - these are local pick up only or an art courier at the purchaser's expense.

Usually yes, but currently I am taking a little pause on commissions while I focus on some new work. I'm not sure when I'll be bringing them back so for now I'm not taking a waiting list.

    Online Courses

Purchasing the course through Teachable is a once off fee and once enrolled in the course you have lifetime access.

Skillshare is a subscription based model. To access the courses available you’ll need to maintain a monthly subscription service to Skillshare. Once you cancel your subscription you will no longer be able to access the course.

The course is a self-paced online course that you’re welcome to start as soon as you’re ready and receive your login details. The beauty of the online courses is that you can go at your own pace and in your own time. Practicing and pausing as you progress through the course and the ability to revisit sections as you need.

As soon as you have completed your order you will receive an email from Teachable explaining how to enrol in the course.

What you will need to do is:
    1. Confirm your email
    2. Set up a password to the Teachable website allowing you to access the course

You will then receive an "access course" email from Teachable. This means you have set up your Teachable login correctly and are good to go!

If after a few minutes from completing your order you have not received an email, please check your junk mail folder.

Setting up your account means you will have lifetime access to the online course.

    Happy painting!

If after a few minutes from completing your order you have not received an email, please check your junk mail folder.

You will receive an email from myself as well as Teachable welcoming you to the course immediately after purchase. Your purchase automatically enrols you into the course.

There will be an email from Teachable with a button for you to finish your enrolment, which will lead you to create your Teachable password.

You can always access your purchassed courses via this link: https://natalie-martin.teachable.com/courses/enrolled

We would be delighted for you to gift this course. Due to the way the enrolment process works, we recommend you purchase an E-Gift Card that your gift recipient can then redeem for the course. We have $59 and $120 E-Gift Cards available as well as an ability to add a personalised message to your E-Gift card.

Yes! My beginners course ‘Welcome to Watercolour’ although not created specifically for kids is young person friendly, I suggest from ages 8 and up. My second course ‘Magic of Colour Mixing’ has a bit more technical content in it, so I would suggest from ages 10 and up. Even better, sit down with your kids and do it together!

I put an emphasis on the painting over the materials, expensive art materials tend to be a hindrance to the experience. If you have a set of watercolours already, use those! You don’t need to dash out and buy a whole lot of new supplies to match what you see in the course. You’ll also need a brush or two, some watercolour paper, pencil and eraser, a couple of water jars, a palette, tile or plate for colour mixing and some paper towel. I have two kits available in my online store that provide you with all the materials you need, see more here.

Good lighting helps too, natural light is best if you can manage it, a good workspace as well as a pinch of creative courage! We delve further into materials in the second video of the course covering not only what, but why.

Whoops! Don’t worry, it happens! As passwords are private information we are unable to retrieve them for you. You will need to reset your password through Teachable. You can do this via this link: https://natalie-martin.teachable.com/courses

When you are on the login page (top right corner) click on ‘Forgot Password’ and this will send you a link to your email account (the one that is linked to your Teachable account) and you will be able to reset it then.

To log in to Teachable and access the courses you've purchased head to this link:

If you are not satisfied with your course purchase you may receive a refund up to 30 days from the date of purchase. Once this has been claimed you will no longer be able to access the course. You can not receive a refund after 30 days of the date of purchase. The 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee is applicable to purchases on Teachable and nataliemartin.com.au only. To make a claim, simply contact uswith your reason and we will begin the refund process.

My goal is to provide affordable and fun online courses, I've priced them as competitively as possible so there isn't room for further discounts. This also means they will never go on sale! Know you are getting great value for a well made, informative and fun course.

Yes! All your courses will be visible in your Teachable account - providing you use the same email during the checkout process each time. If you've accidentally created two accounts (whoops!) don't worry, just reach out and we can merge the two to make logging on simpler.

    Workshops

If you have booked a workshop directly through my website the following applies:

If you give more than 10 days notice prior to commencement of the course, you may receive a full refund for your course fee. Cancellations between 3-10 days from the workshop date will not receive a refund, but you may reschedule for a future date (to the value of your course fee). Cancellations less than three days from the start date will not be refunded. Your purchase is in acceptance of these terms.

If you have booked a workshop through a third party such as Artable, they will have their own cancellation policy.

If a workshop can not go ahead or you can not attend due to COVID-19 Government restrictions I will contact each student and offer dates to reschedule.

If you yourself are unwell in the lead up to a workshop please contact me and we will reschedule you.

I send a reminder email out a couple of weeks prior to the workshop with details on current Government event restrictions and what to expect on the day.

There is safe social distancing during the entirety of my workshops.

Just bring yourself and a little bit of curiosity! All materials are supplied, as well as tea, coffee and a little nibble. If you have dabbled in watercolour before and have your own paints or brushes you’d like to learn how to use, feel free to bring them along.

Not at all! Tailored for the beginner, we start right at the very start and go from there. Every teacher approaches watercolour differently, so I like to get everyone on the same page first.

Absolutely! I have two intermediate workshops for those who enjoyed the Intro workshop and are looking to explore watercolour further. Neither of the intermediate classes are a giant leap from where we leave off in the Intro workshop, they are designed to be the next step in your watercolour journey.

Something comfortable and if you happen to get paint on it, you’re not going to mind. As a general rule, white isn’t my friend when I’m painting with watercolour. The studio does have heating, but no air conditioning, so dress accordingly.

Most workshops have maximum 12 people in them so you can maximise time learning and playing.

Please contact Natalie to let her know of any food intolerances or allergies. She endeavours to provide everyone with a delicious treat or two and yummy cup of tea or coffee but if she doesn’t know in advance it’s difficult to cater for.
