1 Day Introduction to Watercolour Workshop - March 16th

Saturday 16th March
Afternoon Session 1.30pm - 5.30pm
Torquay, Victoria

Spend the afternoon learning the joys of loose, contemporary watercolour painting at Natalie Martin’s studio in Torquay. Suitable for total beginners, you’ll learn some basic watercolour techniques and tricks, have a play and find your feet in the medium. We will discuss materials so you don’t get totally stumped at the art store. We will then work towards a floral inspired piece to take home.

Spend the morning learning the joys of loose, contemporary watercolour painting at Natalie Martin’s studio in Torquay. Suitable for total beginners, you’ll learn some basic watercolour techniques and tricks, have a play and find your feet in the medium. We will discuss materials so you don’t get totally stumped at the art store. We will then work towards a floral inspired piece to take home.

 

1 Day Intermediate Watercolour Workshop - Colour Mixing - April 13th

Saturday 13th April
Afternoon Session 1.00pm - 4.30pm
Torquay, Victoria

Have you done an introductory watercolour workshop and want to keep pushing your skills? This session is all about Natalie’s favourite subject COLOUR! We take a spin around the colour wheel, explore mixing colours and creating tints. Your eyes will be opened to the wonderful rainbow of colours that are at your finger tips. We will then apply our new knowledge to a botanically inspired artwork to take home.

It is recommended that you have done one of Natalie’s introductory courses before coming along to the colour mixing session.

4 Week Contemporary Watercolour Course - May

Join Natalie in her studio for an opportunity to explore loose, contemporary watercolour and learn all about the medium. Over the 4 weeks we will cover everything from materials and techniques, through to colour mixing and how to approach and prepare a final piece. This is an intimate class, with only 6 students, so you will have plenty of one on one time with Natalie.

Learn the joys of free and flowing contemporary botanical watercolour painting with Natalie Martin. Over the two days we will build up a set of skills and techniques to paint beautiful loose flowers and foliage and you will come away with a number of your very own pieces.

Suitable for beginners, we will cover a broad range of basics so that you can feel confident in approaching your very own botanical subjects. We will be interpreting and painting flowers from real life (not photos) and discuss the advantages of using this technique.
