    'The Secret Garden' is here!

    'The Secret Garden' is here!

‘The Secret Garden’ collection is a colourful celebration of those precious curated spaces we call gardens and all the wonderful flowers that populate them. I saw a correlation between creating a garden and my own art practice. Both bring pleasure and joy. They require hard work, patience and curiosity, plus your hands are bound to get a little dirty.

I used different types of gardens to explore new and various flowers. Take a walk through the Banksia garden, visit the Everlasting Meadow and stop by the Kitchen Garden or the Conservatory. Everything is in full bloom and there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Here's some of the works in progress in the studio.

I titled the series ‘The Secret Garden’ as I wanted to sprinkle a little fantasy over the whole thing, it’s a place where all your wildest gardening dreams come true. Where all these different gardens can coexist and all the flowers bloom at once.

The concept has been in the back of mind for a long time, awaiting its window of opportunity. I’ve spent the better part of 15 years now not only painting but growing, photographing, discovering and learning about flowers. My art practice has turned me into a complete floraphile, as I love to learn all about each flower as I paint them! I painted this series as a true flower lover and I hope that resonates with you too.
