Ramble is inspired by bush wanderings and wildflower spotting on the beautiful coast I’m fortunate to call home. Wadawurrung country is a feast of delicate and beautiful native flowers nestled into rugged heath and woodlands. Not always obvious, you need to slow right down to observe them. The orchids in particular are brilliant at camouflaging themselves, they are so hard to spot! However, tune your eye in and you’ll discover another world right at your feet. Along with some familiar favourites, I hope to introduce you to some new species so you too can keep an eye out on your next ramble.
Below are the 22 original artworks from my new 'Ramble' series, featuring the wonderful wildflowers of Wadawurrung country. They are all unframed watercolour works on paper. There will not be any limited edition reproductions of these works. I'm happy to discuss framing with you, I've written a handy 'Framing Solutions' blog post too! Take a peek behind the scenes and view some of the inspiration and process that brought this series together.
If you would like to see them in person, they will all be on display in my studio for the Surf Coast Arts Trail, running on the 5 and 6 of August.
