Step 1: Check your email. You will receive a series of emails from myself as well as Teachable. Teachable is the website you will watch the videos on. Open the email titled "Redeem Your Copy of [Course Name]" and click on the Confirm Email button. If you can't find the email, please check your spam/junk/other folders, it sometimes gets caught up in there. If you did find it in the spam folder, do your future self a favour and move it into your inbox.

Step 2: This will take you to the Teachable website to complete setting up your account. Enter a password of your choice and click on the Continue button. *Please note I can not retrieve your password - if you forget it then you need to go to the Teachable log in page and click on Forgot Password.

Step 3: You're in! Click on the course thumbnail and you will have access to the whole curriculum. Bookmark this page as this is how you will continue accessing the course: https://natalie-martin.teachable.com/ You will also receive an email confirming you are successfully enrolled, "You are now enrolled in [Course Name]". I put an emphasis on the painting over the materials, expensive art materials tend to be a hindrance to the experience. If you have a set of watercolours already, use those! You don’t need to dash out and buy a whole lot of new supplies to match what you see in the course. You’ll also need a brush or two, some watercolour paper, pencil and eraser, a couple of water jars, a palette and some paper towel. I have two kits available in my online store that provide you with all the basic materials you need, see more here.

Good lighting helps too, natural light is best if you can manage it, a good workspace as well as a pinch of creative courage! We delve further into materials in the second video of each course covering not only what, but why.

Yes! My beginners course ‘Welcome to Watercolour’ although not created specifically for kids is young person friendly, I suggest from ages 8 and up. My intermediate courses ‘Magic of Colour Mixing’ and 'Lessons in Layering with Watercolour' have a bit more technical content in them, so I would suggest from ages 10 and up. Even better, sit down with your kids and do it together!

Welcome to Watercolour is my first online course, suited to beginners. So I suggest starting here. From there you could complete the others in any particular order - whatever takes your fancy! Certain themes are going to appeal to some people and others not.
