There’s something really special about seeing a body of work find its way out into the world. My newest collection, The Ties That Bind, has been such a personal journey and now a selection of these pieces are hanging on the walls of Meet Gather Collect in Aranda, ACT.

This collection is about connection. Those invisible threads that hold us close to each other, to nature, to our memories and stories. As I painted each piece, I was thinking about the quiet moments of belonging we all carry, the kind that make us feel rooted and whole.

How it came together

I’m heading up to Canberra soon to run a series of watercolour workshops at Meet Gather Collect (I can’t wait!). When the team heard about my new collection, they offered to exhibit a selection of my new works on their beautiful store walls. I said yes of course! The walls are also painted a glorious shade of green that are just going to make the works glow!

Meet Gather Collect is more than just a store. It’s a space that celebrates Australian craftsmanship and creativity, filled with pieces that are chosen with so much care. Having The Ties That Bind exhibited there feels like the perfect match.

An invitation to slow down

Watercolour has this gentle, flowing quality that invites you to pause. Seeing these pieces in person is a chance to slow down and really sit with the colour and texture, something you can’t fully capture in a photo or print.
