I'm excited to be a part of this upcoming group exhibition. 'Perspectives' opens at the beautiful Lon Retreat in Point Lonsdale on the 20th October. It runs for 6 weeks and finishes on the 3rd December.

I'll be showing alongside 3 other fabulous local artists; Rachel King, Andrea Shaw and Liz Wickramasinghe. Looking to the Lon property, marsh and grasslands, sprawling dunes and coastal flora the works within 'Perspectives' present four distinct and varied viewpoints on landscape painting. The works seek to remind us there are countless ways to perceive and appreciate the natural world around us.

I've got three pieces in the show, all inspired by the shift in our perspective at night, how the bush comes alive under moonlight. Think moody blues and lots of dynamic colour shifts. The pieces are all watercolour, ink and crayon on paper, however the paper has been stretched like canvas so the work sits without glass and feels so much more vibrant and immediate. All are framed in my most favourite blackwood which is the perfect complement.
