Hello from Falls Creek in the beautiful alpine country in Victoria! I'm up here for nearly three weeks as their artist-in-residence. The idea of the residency is to reinvigorate year-round cultural activity on the mountain and I get the opportunity to draw from the unique features of Victoria’s pristine alpine environment, surrounded by National Park, to reflect, research and develop creative ideas. I'll also be doing a community workshop while I'm here which I'm really looking forward to.

I arrived a few days ago and have spent my time so far getting familiar with the area, walking and exploring the Bogong High Plains. I've taken lots of photos and done a bit of sketching too.

Unfortunately it is just past wildflower season, I would have loved to have seen that but the timing didn't work. Luckily though there are plenty of flowers still about.

One of the highlights was sunrise at the top of Mt McKay, what a view!
