There was a lot happening behind the scenes last year - quietly, patiently, and often very slowly - including the early stages and planning of not one… but THREE new online courses. Even writing that still feels a bit surreal.
I am so excited to be releasing these in 2026, but getting here has been far from straightforward.
When 2025 Didn’t Go to Plan
My 2025 didn’t unfold the way I imagined it would. In May, I suffered a major ankle injury that stopped me in my tracks, quite literally. I wasn’t able to stand or drive for months, and that had a ripple effect across every part of my world: work, family life, creativity, and momentum.
It’s hard to fully put into words how disruptive that kind of pause can be. Projects I’d been building towards had to be gently (and sometimes frustratingly) put on the back burner while I focused on healing and getting through each day.
The Impact on Filming (and Everything Else)
That pause obviously affected my filming plans too. I’d been preparing to film one or two new online courses around June or July. It had been a while since my last releases — Compose, Paint, Create Parts 1 and 2 — and in between there’d been big life stuff: welcoming my second little bub, navigating some heavy personal stuff, and then… breaking my ankle.
So, it wasn’t meant to be. For now.
A Slower Season, With Unexpected Gifts
Fast forward to December, and something interesting had happened. Because I had to slow down, those course ideas had time to properly incubate. I was able to:
-
Sit with them longer
-
Test ideas with students through small focus groups
-
Research and refine
-
Map things out with more intention
-
Let the courses evolve instead of rushing them
By the time I finally filmed, the ideas felt deeper, clearer, and more aligned than they would have months earlier. Sometimes delay really does bring clarity.
Why Courses Take Time (Even After Filming)
You’d be forgiven for thinking that once a course is filmed, it’s almost ready to go. In reality… there’s still a lot involved.
I don’t edit my courses myself, it’s not my strongest skill, so I outsource to professionals to ensure you get the best possible visual and audio quality. Once editing is complete, I then:
-
Write and design the accompanying ebook
-
Build and test the backend of the website
-
Set up enrolments, emails and access
-
Make sure the whole experience feels calm, clear and easy for you
It’s a big job, and with my 2026 Watercolour Workshop Tour fast approaching, I can’t promise exact release dates just yet. What I can promise is that these courses are being created with a huge amount of care and love.
What’s in Store
I currently have three new online courses in the pipeline. They'll be released throughout 2026.
The first two mark the beginning of a brand new series…
Watercolour Explorations: Spring Florals in Mixed Media
Step into a world of colour, texture and playful experimentation as you paint florals that feel alive. In this course, you’ll explore combining watercolour with pastel, pencil and ink to create layered, expressive floral artworks. It’s an invitation to slow down, follow your curiosity, and let your blooms unfold in their own beautifully imperfect way, no rigid rules, just exploration and joy.

Watercolour Explorations: Expressive Australian Landscapes in Mixed Media
This one has been highly anticipated!
Here we’ll look at capturing the spirit of the Australian landscape, not through tight realism, but through vibrant colour, loose layers and playful mark-making. It’s about connection to place, emotion, memory, and letting the landscape speak through your own creative language.
Relax and Unwind: Mindful Watercolour Painting for Beginners
This course is something a little different.
It’s all about the pleasure of painting with watercolour. Less structure. More play. Designed especially for beginners or anyone craving some gentle creative time, this course focuses on slowing down, being present, and enjoying the process without pressure or expectation.

I’ll be sharing more about these closer to their releases.
Looking Ahead
I hope this has whet your appetite just a little. These courses have been a long time in the making, shaped by patience, pauses, setbacks and a lot of heart.
A huge thank you to the amazing team that helped me pull it together.
I’m so looking forward to sharing them with you and even more excited to see the beautiful, expressive, unexpected work you’ll create along the way.
Thank you, as always, for being here.
Finally a few pics from behind the scenes on the filming days.

I'm in the zone and crew are taking selfies hahah!

Although my ankle was on the mend, there were still many rest breaks.

All the fancy gear!
