To say getting set to hit the road for my 2026 Watercolour Workshop Tour was overwhelming and incredibly hard is an understatement.

I completely underestimated just how much was involved in turning everyday life into life on the road. Not just for a trip, but for a year of teaching, traveling and creating across Australia.

I’ve been sharing little snippets about our upcoming Watercolour Workshop Tour around Australia, and I’ve had so many thoughtful (and practical!) questions land in my inbox. So I thought I’d gather the most common ones here and flesh them out properly.

It’s getting real! After months (years, really!) of planning, prepping, and quietly working behind the scenes, we’re officially two months out from hitting the road for my upcoming Watercolour Workshop Tourand I couldn’t be more excited!

How do you sum up a fabulous art retreat with a beautiful bunch of humans into a few words and some pics? You can't! But I'm going to do my best...

Sometimes everything just falls into place. Back in August I held three workshops at Meet Gather Collect in Aranda (Canberra). It was the second time I visited this gorgeous store and taught some classes. As we were planning the workshops, Thea the owner, suggested I exhibit some work on the walls as well - and of course, I said yes!

I'm so thrilled to bring you my first new series for 2024. It was a bit of a surprise one, definitely unplanned! But that is how these things go sometimes. I was simply so blown away by the beauty of the Larapuna / Bay of Fires area I couldn't resist painting up a storm.

I have been to Lutruwita / Tasmania many times. Holidays in my childhood, solo explorations of the Tasman Peninsula in my early 30s, obligatory trips to MONA, even a babymoon in a campervan from Hobart to Freycinet. It's one of the first places I think of when I get the opportunity to book a holiday. I had never been to the north east though! Wowee, it is spectacular. I thought I'd share some of the amazing locations and sites we saw.

These artist books are too good not to have their own blog post! They are one of the main outcomes of a recent art retreat to Lutruwita / Tasmania held at Enclave Tasmania. I proposed at the beginning of the retreat that each student come up with a concept for their book, paint and assemble it all within the retreat. My brief to them was a collation of their inspiration, memories or experience of their time in Tassie. The excitement was real!

What a way to kick off 2024. I feel very fortunate to be given the opportunity to teach at an art retreat. It was something I've never done before and was super excited by the prospect of working closely with students over 5 days. Not to mention be surrounded by exquisite landscapes!

My wonderful partner gifted me a trip to King Island for my birthday. It completely snuck up on me, but was so perfectly timed. It was time to take a little break and a wild, rugged island sounded heavenly (I know, I know, this idea isn't for everyone, but I LOVE it).
