What a way to kick off 2024. I feel very fortunate to be given the opportunity to teach at an art retreat. It was something I've never done before and was super excited by the prospect of working closely with students over 5 days. Not to mention be surrounded by exquisite landscapes!

It's been a hot minute since I've produced an online course, in fact I haven't released one since Lessons in Layering with Watercolour in 2021. This is largely because in 2022 I had my first bub! And it takes me about a whole year to pull together, research, plan, test, film, edit and launch one of my online courses. I really pride myself on a thoroughly researched and well executed product. There's nothing worse than investing in something like this only to discover it's been filmed on an iPhone or the sound is all muffled or it's just not what you were expecting!

My little guy turns one in June! I was treated to a pre-Mother's Day last year (hehe) which was very special. I was heavily pregnant and just so excited to meet this little person. Now we're here again, approaching Mother's Day and I'm a mum to a little ginger pocket rocket called Harry.

I’ve known Daisy of AsDaisyDoes for a while, I actually used to teach workshops in her space in Geelong back in the day. She doesn’t do workshops anymore, but she has expanded her world into the wholesale sector with her new business Big Daisy. We’ve always kept in touch and it’s been incredible to watch her do her thing (as only Daisy does!)

Huxter reached out to me at the end of last year. The Melbourne based company produces a range of home products including wrapped soaps featuring Australian artists. They had a number of artists they worked with but had never worked with a watercolour artist before. I was quick to say yes!

I had the pleasure of being asked to judge the Torquay Lion's Club Peace Poster competition in October. It's an international competition where kids submit posters to a theme.

We have not had the pleasure of the annual Arts Trail weekend for the last couple of years! It’s an opportunity to explore the creative spaces of your local artists and makers. Ashmore Arts, including my little studio will be open for the weekend long event, rain, hail or shine (or rainbow!)
